GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR SCULPTING SESSION

Preparation & Aftercare

To support your body and get the best out of your Fat Cavitation session, it’s important to understand a few key things before and after your appointment. The below information will give you what you need to feel informed and prepared so your results can land deeper, last longer and your body can respond at its best.

Before Your Session

To support your body and help your body respond at its best, please avoid the following – this ensures your session is both effective and comfortable.

48 HOURS PRIOR +  LEADING UP TO SESSION

Avoid:

  • Excessive sun exposure. We cannot treat sunburnt skin. If the skin is red, irritated or broken, we cannot treat until the skin has completely healed.
  • Laser treatments on the area for two weeks before your treatment.

24 HOURS PRIOR + DAY OF SESSION

Avoid:

  • Any food, especially heavy meals, for one hour before your treatment – if necessary, only a light protein snack is recommended.
  • Caffeine for two hours before arriving.
  • Consuming alcohol within 24 hours.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our treatments are not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you are on blood thinning or skin thinning medications, please advise us immediately.

After Your Session

Your body will continue responding after your session – here’s how to care for the area and support lasting results.

WHAT TO AVOID

  • Hot baths, steam rooms, and massage for 24 hours after treatment.
  • Waxing the treated area for 3-5 days.
  • Exfoliating the skin for 2-3 days.
  • Lasering the treated area for 2 weeks.
  • Sunburn during the healing process of the skin for 2 weeks after treatment.

WHAT TO DO

  • Stay hydrated – drink water (preferably filtered water & a minimum of 1.5 L a day) to support your body’s natural detox and lymphatic processes.
  • Regular light movement helps lymphatic drainage and fat metabolism.
  • Give it time – allow at least 72 hours before your next session for best results.
  • Tune in – Everyone’s body is different. If you notice unusual sensitivity, give yourself extra rest or extend the time between sessions.

Potential Side Effects

As with any form of treatment, there is a possibility that a temporary side effect may occur.

Side effects in the treatment area can include:

  • Mild redness or warmth (usually fades within hours).
  • Slight tenderness or swelling, especially after initial sessions.
  • Temporary bloating or fluid retention, as the body processes released fat.
  • Increased urination or thirst, due to lymphatic drainage and detox.
  • Rarely, light bruising in areas with more vascular sensitivity.
